Alp ZOR Biography

Born in 1958, he studied in Private German College and graduated in 1978, which is followed by Middle East Technical University graduation in 1983 from Faculty of Engineering as Mechanical Engineer, BA
After having worked in various Companies at automotive industry he joined the largest Construction Company of Turkey, ENKA Construction Company in 1987 for 7 years working as responsible for mechanical works and procurator of various construction projects. During Krasnodar Military Housing Project in Russia, he met with cogeneration technology which initiated his new career on energy sector. This technology was at very initial stages in the country and expected to be the core energy producing technique in the near future of Turkey. With this dream he started to work as Sales Engineer for Cogeneration Systems in the Company Topkapı Endüstri A.S. in 1994. He arranged local distribution and sales agreement with Austrian Company Jenbacher Energiesysteme AG. He worked for this company as Sales Manager and later as General Manager and Equity Partner for 12 years, during which he spent great effort for spreading the technology throughout the Country. He is one of the founding Members of Turkish Cogeneration and Renewable Energy Association. During those 12 years, Jenbacher reached around 35% market share, including the pioneer Landfill, Biogas and Synthetic gas Power Plants introduced to the Country.

After returning back to professional Management life in 2006, he worked again in Enka Construction as Project Coordinator for Donbass Arena Elite Class Stadium EPC Project in Ukraine. Then he joined Enka Sister Company Enka Teknik as Country Manager for Iraq and acted as Project Coordinator for 500MW Najybia simple cycle power plant EPC Project and, as Project Coordinator for PS-1 Crude Oil Pump Station EPC Project in Iraq. Then acted as Client Manager of Enka Construction in Iraq for 2 further 500 MW (Samawa & Dhi-Qar) simple cycle power plant Projects. These are followed by his Project Coordinator assignment of 671MW Tripoli West and 650MW Misrata Simple Cycle Power Plants in Libya until the end of 2021, when he retired from the company after 22 years of service.

He joined Enerko as equity partner and manager in May 2022.
